Le Smash Burgers & Fries: Reviews & Ratings
Chips were hot and very well seasoned! Great portion size for the price and great menu selection. Very evident that food was fresh. Service was quick and staff were friendly. A fabulous hidden gem in Essedeon, would highly recommend for a solo snack or a family dinner! Much preferred over other local competitors!
The smash burgers here are top-notch! Absolutely loved the bacon cheeseburger and classic double - both were excellent with perfectly crispy edges and juicy centres. Don't sleep on the onion rings either - they're a great side. Solid spot for anyone craving a quality smash burger.
I had such a great experience at Le Smash! The Classic Double and the Double Bacon and Cheese Cheeseburger were packed with flavour – juicy patties, perfectly melted cheese, and just the right amount of bacon. The onion rings were super crispy and satisfying, and the giant chicken nugget was a fun and tasty addition to the menu. The large fries were perfectly seasoned and a great portion size. To top it all off, the shakes were amazing – the Biscoff shake was my favourite, but the Peanut Butter one was just as creamy and delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the atmosphere made it even better. It's a spot worth visiting for a proper burger fix! What I tried: Classic double $18 double bacon and cheese cheeseburger $19 Onion rings $8 Giant chicken nugget $9 Large fries $7.50 Peanut butter shake $7.50 Biscoff shake $7.50
The burger was enjoyable and probably the best of all the options. The beef was well-seasoned, and it paired well with the potato bun and the other ingredients. I added bacon and a chicken fillet, which made for a decent combo, though it came at a higher price. The chicken was mostly juicy, though there were a few dry spots, but overall it was good. The batter on the chicken lacked the crispy texture I was expecting, but I didn’t mind since the chicken patty was a good size. The onion rings could definitely have been fried longer, as they were a bit floppy and not very crispy. The chips were average—nothing special in terms of seasoning. I chose the popcorn chicken over the big nugget and really enjoyed it, especially alongside the smash patty. Definitely go for the double as the single wasn't much food which my mate got. Burger: 7.5/10 Chicken Bites: 8/10 Chips: 6.5/10 Onion Rings: 5/10 The total for all of this was $50."
Located on Napier Street by the same team behind 3 Salamis (one of my favourite sandwich spots in the area), this brand-new Smash Burger joint is definitely worth a special trip! Here’s what we tried: Classic Single ($16): Super simple, yet absolutely perfect. Bacon & Cheese ($15): My absolute fave! With candied bacon bits & house-made onion jam—just trust me, you have to try this one. Spicy Fried Chicken ($17): Crispy, tender, and the heat was spot on—balanced perfectly. Le Smash Tenders Box ($24): Think Raising Cane’s, but even better. Those tenders were next level, and the sauce? Incredible. The fries? Epic. Giant Chicken Nugget ($9): Yes, it’s a huge chicken nugget, made from free-range chicken mince—not a schnitzel, folks (schnitzel is made with chicken breast). I didn’t mind it but I probably wouldn’t order it again, their tenders are better IMO. Overall, this place is a must-visit! Go check it out—you won’t regret it! 4.5/5
This could just be the hunger talking, but that was a top-notch burger! The patty was super crispy on the edges, well seasoned with the burger overall having great freshness and perfect cheesy-ness. Would definately be coming back to try the other menu options! (Burger : classic double)
The Classic was a solid burger but the highlight was definitely the Le Coup. The chicken meat was succulent and nicely seasoned with a touch of sweetness from the honey glazing. I loved the creaminess of the coleslaw which also gave it a nice crunch. The Chicken Nugget also impressed with the flavourful and tender meat and nugget coating. And of course bigger than my baby’s head!
I’ve tried a lot of burger places, but this one hits the spot. We had the double with Le Smash sauce, and it had the perfect balance of flavours and textures, it’s amazing! If you love burgers, this place is a must-try. They also do a huge chicken nugget and chicken platter that’s good for sharing.
